Founded by Gabe Northern, former NFL linebacker for the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Crossball Plus was created to give every child a ball, a mentor, and a brighter path forward.
Gabe Northern knows firsthand the power of football to change lives. A standout at LSU and a second-round NFL draft pick, Gabe went on to play for the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings, earning recognition as a driven athlete and extremely respected teammate. After retiring, he continued giving back to the game as a coach, mentoring young players at both Grambling State and Prairie View A&M.
But what truly defines Gabe is not just his on-field achievements, but his off-field endeavors. Drawing from his own experiences, he recognized that many of the challenges players face—such as mental health issues, financial stress, and lack of guidance—often begin long before they reach the professional level. This realization led him to establish Buffalo Crossball Plus, a mission to provide kids with more than just footballs. We offer mentorship, resources, and hope for a brighter future.
For Gabe, every ball handed to a child is more than equipment. It’s a promise: that they are seen, valued, and capable of greatness.
Beyond the Ball
Training, mentoring, inspiring young athletes
Our journey began with the creation of the Crossball Plus, a revolutionary ball designed to improve skills and change the way players train. From there, our lineup grew—youth balls, training balls, weather-resistant balls—all built with the same goal in mind: to give every player, everywhere, the tools to succeed on the field and in life.
However, our mission extends beyond just products. We also organize kids’ football camps and community initiatives that offer mentorship, training, and life lessons that transcend the game. These programs connect young athletes with positive role models and help prepare them for success—both on and off the field.
